Ghana To Confirm Venue For Uganda Clash Next Week – Saanie Daara

The Ghana Football Association will soon firm up a decision on the venue for the Black Stars’ Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying Group E opener against Uganda set for the first weekend of September.

The Accra Stadium has been favoured to host the encounter against the Cranes instead of the Kumasi venue which has been hosting the Black Stars in recent times but the deputy General Secretary of the Ghana FA in charge of Communications has told footy-Ghana.com that the decision on the match venue will be sealed when Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah meets the FA next week.

“The coach has said he wants the game at Kumasi but we’ve not reached a decision yet. Next week Monday, we will have a meeting then we will firm up all of these,” Saanie Daara told footy-Ghana.com.

FootyGhana understands that an Accra choice has been highly recommended to allow the Black Stars have ample time to prepare before travelling to Lome for their match-day two game against Togo on Wednesday, September 10.
