Nana Konadu Tips Black Princesses To Win WC

Former first Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has tipped the Black Princesses to win the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U20 Womenā€™s World Cup in Canada.

Coach Bashir Hayfords charges defeated the host nation Canada with a lone goal in their first Group A encounter through Sherifatu Sumaila tap in goal.

She told GNA Sports, she feels confident the ladies can win the title with the skills and talent exhibited when they battled their opponent and congratulates them for the great showing for the nation.

She said ā€œI wish them the best in the tournament. They have style and skills to win the trophy. They are in our hearts and mind and definitely with the skills that I saw, I believe they have the opportunity to win this tournament. What they can do best is to be cool headed and have the spirit of determination for the ambition in their hearts to overcome every challengeā€.

Ghana is making a third appearance at the tournament after failing to go past the group stages in the two previous editions.

The Princesses will play against Korea DPR in their second outing on Friday before locking horns with Finland.
