Ghanaian Workers Deserve Some Comfort—Alan Kyerematen

An aspiring Presidential candidate of the NPP, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has lashed out at the government for not been creative, and its inability to mitigate the worsening plight of Ghanaian workers.

He noted that the dissatisfaction with public sector wages and the rising cost of living has resulted in demonstrations and strike actions by the various labour unions across the country.

He added “such occurrences if allowed to linger on, will have negative impact on productivity and to a larger extent, the economy”.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen also maintained that the NPP created the Single Spine Salary Scheme, to be implemented over a minimum of 5 years to prevent such situations.

He said that, “Enabling the private sector to expand will provide more jobs and create wealth in other to relief the pressure on government, as they serve as new avenues for revenue mobilization and lift the need to absorb labour into the already saturated public sector”.

This he said, during his interaction with some sections of the media in Bolga, where he is on his campaign tour.
