Stanley Quaye Cleared Of Theft

According to a statement issued and signed by Juliana Anani, the complainant, and copied to the Registrar of the Circuit Court hearing the case, she was discontinuing the case.

Ms Anani in the letter indicated that the accused person had settled the fee he owed her since May this year.

The court, presided over by M.E. Essandoh, subsequently struck out the case on June 4, 2014 when the case was called.

‘Accused discharged for the amount having been paid. Case struck out’, Judge Essandoh ruled.

It would be recalled that the Accra Circuit Court ordered for the arrest of Stephen Quaye, a native of Teshie in Accra, for allegedly stealing money from Juliana, his ex-girl friend.

The court issued a warrant number D4/205/13 for the arrest of Stephen for allegedly stealing the sum of GH¢60,000 from his employer after he was asked to deposit the said amount in a bank account.

It turned out that Stephen refused to deposit the money because their relationship had gone bad. However Stephen allegedly refunded the money in question in May.
