Mahama Dashes To K’si For Sallah

It is unclear why the President decided to travel to Kumasi to observe the Eid ul Fitr in the city since he usually celebrates Eid ul Fitr with Muslims in Accra.

A source told DAILY GUIDE that plans have been made by government officials to host the President.

The presidential jet was expected at the Kumasi Airport as at about 5:30pm on Sunday.

According to reports, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong and other officials travelled to the Kumasi Airport to welcome the President.

The Eid ul Fitr prayers in Kumasi would be held at the Central Mosque, which can accommodate thousands of Muslims that would grace the event.
