Royal Philips ‘Walk For Health’ In Accra


Royal Philips’ second edition of Walk for Health was held with a walk to sensitize Ghanaians on the importance of regular exercise for quality lifestyle in Accra last Saturday.

The walk started from the Aviation social center through to Tetteh Quashie roundabout, 37 Military hospital then back to the Aviation social center.

Workers of the company including the Managing Director and some customers took part in the event.

Walk for Health, according to the Managing Director of Philips West Africa Hub, Abdallah H. Khamis is an initiative that seeks to help empower the citizenry to live quality lifestyle.

He said the walk for life will help the company to interact and listen to its customers to understand how they can adapt their product to better the life of the people.

The Managing Director stated that activities marking the walk for Health include training of dealers of Philips products, customers to build their capabilities on consumer lifestyle.

There will also be education to educate consumers on the need for energy – efficient lighting.

Health screening exercise will be organized for health officials to educate them on the modern trend in diagnosing non- communicable diseases.

Royal Philips enhanced life by provision of equipment to improve customer’s lifestyle.
