Accra, July. 11, GNA – Some ECOWAS Heads of State who attended the mid-year Summit held in Accra have left for their various countries.

Goodluck Jonathan, the Nigerian President was the first to leave after the Summit closed yesterday.

Others who left last night were the Presidents of La Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo.

Those of Guinea Bissau, Senegal, and Niger also left this morning, while Mali and Sierra Leone are expected to leave later today.

They were seen off by Vice President, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur.

The Summit, which ends today, has been discussing pertinent issues confronting the sub-region, with health threats, such as the outbreak of Ebola, and security issues like terrorism taking centre stage in the discussions.
