Alan Kyerematen has good intentions for Ghana – Chief Imam

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu says flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen has good intention for Ghana should he become president.

He made the comment when the presidential hopeful paid a courtesy call on him at his New Fadama residence in Accra.

Alan Kyerematen accompanied by members of his campaign team donated gallons of cooking oil, bags of rice and sugar to the National Chief Imam.

Receiving the items, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu said he is overwhelmed by the kind gesture of the former Trade Minister.

He said ‘I consider Alan as my son and it is very significant for anyone to make donations in this Holy month of Ramadan. I appreciate his visit and good intentions for this country, and I know, God will fulfill his wishes’.

On his part, Mr. Kyerematen noted that it has always been a tradition for him, and also in the spirit of Ramadan to make an annual donation to the Muslim community.

To him, the philosophy underpinning Ramadan demands that one ought to give charity to the less privilege in society.

‘The National Chief Imam is like a father to him and has always been very supportive of his career’ he stated.

He thanked the Chief Imam for his continuous support and the privilege to receive him.

Mr. Kyerematen stressed that ‘God-willing, if I am able to become President, I shall rely on you for your continuous support and prayers’.

He also commended the National Chief Imam for his devotion and selflessness towards National reconciliation and wished all Muslims a Happy Ramadan.

The National Chief Imam offered prayers for him and wished him well.
