He Broke My Head, Our Daughter’s With Stone – Wife Tells Court To Dissolve 20-Year-Old Marriage

An Ake Customary Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital dissolved the 20-year-old marriage between Bosede Tito and her husband, Segun, over the husband’s maltreatment.

In his judgment, the judge, Chief Olalekan Akande, who dissolved the marriage, held that efforts to reconcile the couple failed.

He added  that their six children were grown ups and capable  of determining  who to live with between  both  parents.

He  also ordered that the children’s  welfare be  the joint responsibility of  both  parents.

Akande  further  warned  Segun to  refrain from going to  Bosede’s house or place of work to foment trouble.

Forty-seven-year-old Bosede, who lives at Aro, Abeokuta, had urged the court to dissolve her marriage to  Segun due to  maltreatment, lack of care, frequent beatings and threat to her life.

“I am fed up with our  marriage; I have been patient enough and  praying that one day, God would change him.

“There was a time he fought me and beat one of our children who  cautioned  him  when he was beating me. He broke my head and that of our  daughter with a stone.

“This is not the first time he will be  harming us.

“My husband  doesn’t act  like  a responsible man. he doesn’t   leave money for the  family’s upkeep or bother  about our welfare, all he knows is to womanise.Read more
