PPP Youth Leader To Embark On One-man Demo

National Youth leader of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP,) Divine Nkrumah is set to embark on a one-man walk from Achimota New Station to Accra Central in protest against recent happenings in the country.

The walk is expected to start on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2014 at 8am.

According to Mr. Nkrumah who spoke to Peace Fmonline.com, polytechnic teachers are on strike; there is fuel shortage in the country; moneys owed the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) have not been paid; government subventions given to public universities have been removed; academic user fees have been increased in all public universities among a host of thousand others.

He stressed that these problems have taken a toll on well-meaning Ghanaians and therefore someone ought stand up and send a clear message to government that times are hard.

The PPP Youth leader indicated that the afore-mentioned problems are an indication of the fact there is no clear leadership in the country.

“If you are out there like me and you feel things are not going the way you expect, join me in this walk to register our displeasure to the government,” he said.
