McBride Unveils Design Essentials

  McBride Research Laboratories Incorporation, which based in the US and specializes in the manufacture of quality hair care products, has partnered Salon Services Hair & Beauty Academy, a Ghanaian distribution firm to unveil a hair system dubbed, ‘Design Essentials’ (DE) onto the Ghanaian market.

President of McBride Research Laboratories Incorporation, Cornell McBride Jr, in a special remark at the launch of Design Essentials on Wednesday in Accra, said, ‘What we want to do is basically give information to people in this industry on how to maintain and build this industry,’

Mr. McBride Jr said his outfit, together with Salon Services Hair & Beauty Academy, would provide training for Ghanaians across the country to enable them become world-class beauticians.

‘The maintenance of hair is about education, we are doing some training, we are here to educate and train players in the industry to make them professionals,’ the president of the multinational, which was established about 23 years ago, noted.

Commenting on McBride’s partnership with the Ghanaian hair academy, McBride Jr, who took over the company from his father, Cornell McBride Sr, founder of the McBride brand, said, ‘The partnership with Salon Services is in the right direction because they will come with their wealth of experience and we will as well come with our wealth of experience and together I believe we are going to move this industry to the next level.’

‘There are tremendous opportunities for doing business in Africa. We did a research four years ago about the business environment in Africa and found out that this is one of the places for our brands,’ he told BUSINESS GUIDE in an interview on the sidelines of the launch.

He added that ‘we will move to Nigeria next month followed by South Africa and Uganda.’

Stella Amponsah of Salon Services Hair & Beauty Academy was optimistic the products would be well patronized in the country.
