Fan Express Sentiments About Black Stars

A number of football fans in Tema have expressed mixed feelings about the Black Stars’ chances of qualifying to the next stage of the World Cup in Brazil.

While some are optimistic about the team’s chances, others are adamant. Mustapha Braima, a mechanic, told the GNA Sports that he believed there was a lot of hope.

“All the Black Stars need to do on Thursday is to beat Portugal while Germany win against the the USA”.

Braima however made a special appeal saying, “we plead with the coach to get Harrison Afful and Samuel Inkoom to play two and three respectively, and push Kojo Asamoa to play upfront”.

Seth Ablorh, a mason, however was of a different view. “I cannot say much. At this stage, we have to wait upon the Lord. The situation is a bit shaky and only God knows.”

Alex Ankra, a businessman had a different opinion altogether. “The Black Stars should not incur any more cost. I think they should voluntarily exit from the tournament and save us the remaining budgeted amount for the World Cup”.

A win for Ghana over Portugal on Thursday by two goals or more, and a defeat of the USA by Germany, by any goal margin qualifies Ghana for the next stage of the tournament.
