Kwabena Agyapong Is A “Beast”; I’m The Reason For The Security Guard Clash – Hajia Fati

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Hajia Fati has described the current General Secretary of the party as a “beast” and a “destroyer” who intends to bring division into the elephant family.

According to her, Kwabena Agyapong is to be blamed for the “unnecessary crisis” which is emanating within the NPP in recent times.

Speaking in an interview with a Kokomlemle based radio station, Hajia Fati said she was the reason for the security guards clash at the NPP headquarters on Monday, noting that Kwabena Agyapong has no “respect for human”.

“He [Kwabena Agyapong] appointed the new security guards to take over from the old ones because they [the old security guards] allowed me entry into the party head office after I had questioned his activities as a General Secretary,” she said.

Security men working at the New Patriotic Party headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra clashed with new security guards alleged to be appointed by the new national executives.

Reports indicate that the clashes started when the new guards attempted to take over security duties at the party’s headquarters.

This was resisted by old guards who said they had not been informed about the changes by their paymasters.

It is believed that the new guards who have been appointed by the party’s General Secretary; Kwabena Agyepong forcibly went to remove the old guards which nearly turned into a blood bath.

Speaking to Adom FM, the NPP strong woman expressed dismay at the way and manner the General Secretary is operating.

“The party [NPP] is not Kwabena Agyapong’s company. He can’t scare supporters,” she said

She however opined that, “That boy [Kwabena Agyapong] thinks he can speak English so he doesn’t respect anyone including the party’s chairman [Paul Afoko]. He takes directives on his own without informing the executives”.

Adding that, the General Secretary “don’t even smile to anyone when he sees supporters at the party office”.

Hajia Fati also bemoaned the delegates’ decision to vote former chief scribe Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as “Sir John’ out of office for “arrogant” Kwabena Agyapong.

“How I wish Sir John was still at post, he [Sir John] will never treat party people the way Kwabena Agyapong is doing now at the party office. We really miss Sir John,” she added.
