Zoobashop, an online retail shop, has reconstituted a five member Board of Directors to be chaired by Mr. Ghassan Yared.
The online shop held its inaugural meeting of board members in April to endorse the new board.
Mr Albert Biga, Zoobashop CEO said he was delighted to have the calibre of accomplished individuals with years of business acumen and experience on the board.
‘As the board chairman, Ghassan Yared brings on board a great deal of expertise from managing marketing and distribution channels for over 3 decades. I am eager to realise the contribution that the Board of Directors will offer to Zoobashop’s growth under his leadership. Ghassan Yared is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Forewin Group of Companies.
He is also the CEO of Mabani Holdings amongst others and with over 30 years of experience in successfully managing leading companies in West Africa, he has received many honours and awards from multinationals including Johnson & Johnson, Wrigley, Gillette, Kimberly Clark as well as the Business Executive Magazine’s ‘Man of the Season 2011.’
‘I am profoundly humbled by this appointment,’ Ghassan Yared remarked, shortly after his appointment was made public.
‘E-Commerce in Ghana is a relatively new industry, nevertheless I am confident that, based on the public’s reception of Zoobahop.com and the successes that have been charted to date, the company’s potential is limitless. I intend to lead the board in working diligently to ensure that Zoobashop.com soars even higher’, he added.
The five member board is comprised of the following individuals:
Mr. Albert Biga: Founder and CEO of Zoobashop.com an ICT & Business Process Automation expert by profession with over 18 years of practice spanning software design and implementation and business process automation.
His international experience across the sub-region includes stints with Intel, USAID/ WATH, and the SOFTtribe among others.
Mr. Felix Biga: He comes on board with 20+ years International Corporate experience having worked with Bank of America, ABN AMRO and the Caterpillar Group in the following focused areas: Strategic Acquisitions & Divestitures, Strategic Planning & Sourcing with a solid background in Finance, Accounting, and 6 Sigma.
Mr. Kwadwo Aboagye-Atta: An accomplished finance expert and the Chief Executive Officer of Orbit Money Lending Company Limited, a Licensed Money Lending Non-Bank Financial institution incorporated in 2009 to grant credit to small and medium scale enterprises.
He has specialisation in financial analysis and debt management with experience spanning over 25 years
William Sam: Chief Software Architect at AqumenLabs, a subsidiary of Praescient Limited focused on the development of software solutions.
His over 20 years in software engineering has seen him lead a number of successful software solutions across the sub-region.
He is also the Technology and Strategy Management Consultant and the Director of Technologies at Balanced Scorecard West Africa.
