Gladys Asmah is not dead; family asserts

The family of former Fisheries Minister Mrs. Gladys Asmah, has refuted media reports that she has died.

A family source told Myjoyonline.com the reports are false.

Information on the death of Mrs Asmah went viral on social networking sites with news portals following suit.

But a member of the family said even though she is fighting for her life in the intensive care unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, the former Women and Children’s Affairs Minister is alive.

Joy FM’s Western Regional Correspondent, Kwaku Owusu Peprah confirmed that Mrs. Asmah is alive and receiving medical attention.
