Lupita Flaunts Bikini Body [PHOTO]

Lupita Nyong’o is lauded for her acting talent, impeccable style and killer body.

The 31-year-old displayed her incredibly toned figure in a white bikini as she enjoyed a stroll along a beach in Maui on Wednesday.

The Mexican-born actress showed off her tiny waist and muscular legs in the pretty Marysia swimsuit, which sported scalloped edging.
She looked like a movie star of yesteryear with her wide-brimmed straw hat and large tortoiseshell sunglasses.

The Lancôme spokes model enhanced her slender waist further with a simple silver belly chain.

The star then made her way to her colourful sun lounger, where she threw on an elegant white kaftan that sported a blue pattern.
Lupita is seen sitting in the chair soaking up the sun in a photo posted to Instagram that same afternoon.

‘Aloha Hawaii!’ she captioned the serene snap.

Lupita is in Hawaii to attend the Maui Film Festival, where she will accept the Rainmaker award for her turn in ‘12 Years A Slave’, along with the 2009 documentary ‘In My Genes’, which she created, directed, edited and produced.

Later that evening, Lupita looked stunning in a mint green dress at the festival’s opening night reception in picturesque Wailea.
The fitted frock complemented her dark skin tone and clung to her nicely toned frame.

Lupita – whose role as abused cotton picker Patsey in 12 Years a Slave earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress – matched her dress with a green clutch, while strappy heels and Vita Fede jewellery rounded things off.

The Kenyan star’s appearance at the event comes after she was unveiled as latest addition to the cast of JJ Abrams eagerly anticipated ‘Star Wars’ sequel, the first of three new films to be made following Disney’s acquisition of the hugely popular franchise.

Lupita also announced Thursday that she has acquired the rights to adapt the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie novel ‘Americanah’ into a film, which she will both star in and produce.

Taking to social media on Thursday, the stunning 31-year-old excitedly confirmed the rumours.

“Yes!!! ‘Tis true: I acquired the rights to make a film of this amazing book by this amazing writer. I HIGHLY recommend the read. #Americanah #GrabIt,” she captioned an image of the book cover.

As reported by The Wrap, Lupita will once again team up with ‘12 Years A Slave’ co-star Brad Pitt, whose production company, Plan B, is also onboard, along with D2 Productions and Potboiler Productions.

The epic love story tells the tale of young Nigerians Ifemelu and Obinze, whose romance is tested when Ifemelu emigrates to America to get a university education while her boyfriend winds up in London.
They face the toughest decision of their lives when they are later reunited in their homeland.

A statement released by the star revealed her utter delight at adapting the acclaimed novel – which was the winner of the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction – for the silver screen.

“It is such an honour to have the opportunity to bring Ms Adichie’s brilliant book to the screen,” she gushes. “Page after page I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze’s stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humour and heart.”

As well as the blockbuster JJ Abrams ‘Star Wars’ sequel, Lupita will also voice the character of Rakcha in a remake of The Jungle Book.
