Our attention has been drawn to a news story on the website of the Ghana News Agency and carried by Ghanaweb, a website, falsely claiming that one Kuuku Dsane is the president of the Ghana Amputee Football Federation (GAFF) a body supposedly in charge of amputee football in Ghana.
The story headlined, ‘Amputees football team preparing for Mexico 2014,’ is not only false but malicious and aimed at disrupting the work of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) the body in charge of disability sports in Ghana.
The administration of amputee football in Ghana is presently being handled by the NPC awaiting the appointment of a substantive board to be formed at an emergency meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Nobody has yet been appointed president of the Association.
The NPC would like to inform the world at large that, anybody who deals with any organization or body besides the NPC is dealing with imposters.
The NPC would form a new management body after the emergency meeting on Tuesday and would duly inform outdoor the members to the public.
The new management would oversee preparations towards the world cup in Mexico.
