NDC @ 22 Has A Lot To Be Proud Of – Gen Mosquito

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, says the party has a lot to be proud of as it marks 22 years since its formation on Tuesday.

According to him, in spite of being the youngest among the topmost three political parties in Ghana, the NDC’s fortunes have been very good since the advent of the 4th Republic.

“I believe you know that the NDC is the youngest political party. [Among] all the major political parties I think NDC is the youngest. CPP has got its roots in the 1st Republic. NPP has got its roots in the UP Tradition and so NDC is the youngest among the three and yet when you come to the 4th Republic we have not performed badly at all in our 22 years.

“We’ve won four out of the six general elections held in Ghana and we’ve been in power, I believe 15 years or so, out of the 22, so I think that there is a lot for us to be proud of as NDC,” he told Radio XYZ in Accra.
