Tomorrow’s MTN /FA Cup Final: Can Kotoko Make It Double?

FLASHBACK: Players of Kotoko celebrating their league victory. Will they be lucky tomorrow too?

ASANTE KOTOKO appear favourites in the MTN FA Cup final clash against Inter Allies scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow.

But whether or not they can lift the ultimate and add it to the First Capital Plus silverware remains the question on the lips of students of the game.

Tomorrow marks their third streak final since the competition bounced back three seasons ago after a decade of inactivity.

And in all the three final games, the Porcupine Warriors played second fiddle to Nania FC, New Edubiase and Medeama.

Indications are that, they are bent on ending their recent their winless FA Cup finals in recent seasons with a win in tomorrow’s clash.

However, Coach Herbert Addo and his charges quest to write their names in gold make Kotoko double wish questionable.

Coach Addo popped up from nowhere to rescue Allies, a side that was condemned and tagged as relegation bound.

He has managed to transform the inexperienced Premiership debutants and finished the just-ended league sixth on the table with 41 points.

Coach Addo has promised to give Kotoko a good game as well as lift the ultimate to crown their efforts.

According to the FA Cup Committee, if the match ends in a draw, extra time of 15 minutes each half would be played, and if there is still no winner after the 30 minutes extra time, penalties would be played to pick a winner.

Each club is entitled to GH¢1,000 worth of MTN recharge cards.

The winning club of the match would earn GH ¢30,000 plus 25% of the net of the gate proceeds.

The players and officials of the winning club would receive 35 winners gold medals.

The losing club of the match would earn GH¢15,000 plus 25% of the net of the gate proceeds.

Players and officials of the losing club would receive 35 silver medals.

Best Player (MVP) of the match would receive GH¢200 worth of MTN credit.

MTN would treat fans to a lot of goodies from MTN free recharge cards, including MTN Fast Fingers, among others.

Cool rates of GH¢3, GH¢5 and GH¢15 would be charged at the Popular, Osu and VIP stands respectively.

Tickets are entitled to MTN recharge cards. The Osu Stand is free for females and boys under 15.
