NPP sets December 6 for Presidential Primaries

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set December 6 for its National Delegates Congress to elect the Party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2016 General Election.

The party has therefore opened nominations for its presidential candidate and has approved a nomination fee of GH¢10,000 and a filling fee of GH¢75,000.

A statement signed by its General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, said the decision was arrived after a meeting held Friday at Alisa Hotel, Accra.

It also said potential aspirants may pick nomination forms at the party’s headquarters, Asylum Down, Accra.

According to the statement, further to Article 17 of the Party’s Constitution, a set of guidelines, rules and regulations for the Presidential Primaries was also approved.
