Aduana beat champions, Kotoko to save their season

Aduana Stars beat the drop by a whisker as they succeeded in keeping their place after beating champions, Asante Kotoko 2-0 on the last day of the season.

Goals in either half by James Abban and Emmanuel Akuoku handed Aduana, who were on the brink of relegation before kick off a place in next season’s campaign.

Aduana’s cause was also helped by results of other matches in the league on the final day as King Faisal, Ebusua Dwarfs and Amidaus Professionals get demoted to the lower ranks.

Despite their final day leap, Aduana finished 11th on the table and 15 points adrift the top.
