Ungratefulness: Disgruntled Edubiase boss lashes out at Kotoko

Abdul Salam Yakubu ‘Sabato’, the president for New Edubiase has criticized Asanteko Kotoko of being ungrateful.

The Porcupine Warriors carried away all the three maximum points on match day 28 against New Edubiase to win their 23rd league title and that has narrowed the chances of the Edubiase lads in escaping relegation.

Sabato believes it was a purported attempt by the league champions to kick them from the elite division and due to that they will not do any business with their regional  allies in the future.

‘Prior to our league game against Kotoko, we all knew their performance was nothing to write home about, but because they had planned to get us out of the premier league, they put up perhaps their best performance in the season to beat us at Bekwai.

‘This really confirmed the rumours, I heard earlier that Kotoko would want to see us relegated back to the first division, because according to them we don’t usually transfer our players to their end, hence being at division one would pave way for them to easily get our players.

‘Henceforth we will not sell our players to them, because they’ve been ungrateful to us, the New Edubiase boss told Metro fm.

The accusation of Abdul Salam Yakubu is against the ethics of fair play and could be called to the Ethics Committee of the GFA for questioning.

The 2012 FA Cup champions transferred top notch defender, Abeiku Ainooson, who was already in the local Black Stars to the Porcupine Warriors this season.
