Inter Allies centre-back Baba Mensah targets Top 4 finish

Inter Allies center back Baba Mensah insists they are very excited they beat the drop and is targeting another win at Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday to get a chance of  finishing in the Top four.

‘Eleven Is To One’ beat Aduana Stars 1-0 in their penultimate match in the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday at home to amass 40 points.

The former Ghana under-20 defender expressed his delight in the turnaround in form and says Aduana Stars were a tough side to beat.

‘We lost the first 7 games and nobody gave us a chance to come this far, nobody thought we could get to where we are now, I thank God for this achievement,’ he told the club’s website ( www.interalliesfc.com )

‘Looking at how we started, we are very happy with what we have done.

‘If you look at what happened on Sunday, You could tell for yourself that it wasn’t easy. Aduana made it tough for us but we stood to the challenge and did what we have doing this second round.’

Having reclaimed the premiership status on Sunday, Baba feels the job is not yet done as there is a great chance of finishing the season in the top four, should they beat Dwarfs .

‘It’s a winning mentality we are taking to Cape Coast, we are going to have a go at them as we target the top four now, a win could ensure us make the top four so we will hope to secure all three points,’ he added.

Mensah has appeared 22 times for the club in the league this season and he is part of the very few who have had over 20 appearances this season.
