BOKO HARAM: Housemaids To Be Screened Before They Start Work

With the current spate of insecurity in the country, the Kwara State Police Command as a way of improving security in the state is set to start screening of prospective housemaids before they start working for their masters.

This was made known by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ambrose Aisabor while speaking on security awareness at a seminar organised by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) which was attended by participants from the 16 local government areas of the state and security operatives.

Aisabor was represented by the commandā€™s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi.

He said that the screening would improve security of lives and property.

The commissioner of police advised residents willing to engage housemaids to contact the command for the screening.

He said that some housemaids aided criminality, and advised the residents to be security conscious and provide useful information to security agents on how to curb crime.

The state Director of NOA, Mr Felix Olowokere, said that the agency organised the seminar to sensitise the people to the need to be security conscious.

Olowokere urged participants to come up with ideas on how to sustain peace and harmony in the state and improve security.
