Negredo out! Del Bosque names Spain’s 23-man squad for WC

For all the goals he scored for Manchester City in their road to winning the English Premier League title, Alvaro Negrodo will not be seen in a Spain shirt at the FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

Vicente del Bosque has named his final 23-man squad for the finals in June, ignoring Premier League Champion Alvaro Negredo to make way for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and Diego Costa who is still recovering from a hamstring injury.

Negredo has accepted his fate and is already on his way for his holidays. The Manchester City player tweeted:

‘Back to Sevilla @ClaraGarciaT with out friend @Eu_29 #Javi Varas. Let’s start our holiday!’
