Warm up to Brazil: Hitzfeld’s Switzerland stun Jamaica with late goal

Switzerland manager Ottmar Hitzfeld saw his side score a late goal that saved the blushes in their international friendly against Jamaica on Friday night.

The fiercely contested game was scoreless in the first half despite Switzerland’s tireless attacking of the opposition.

The attack finally paid off in the 83rd minute when a Josip Drmic strike gave Switzerland a 1-0 lead consequently ending up as the final score on the night.

Ottmar Hitzfeld and his men will play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil. They have been drawn in Group E with France, Ecuador and Honduras.

The Switzerland boss was recently in Ghana to launch AllSports and also undertook some charity events.
