Mahama & Goodluck Are “Incompetent Twins” – Kwamena Duncan

The Islamic militant sect, Boko Haram, has for months now been terrorizing citizens of Nigeria.

The militant group has taken responsibility for kidnapping over 200 school girls and a series of number of bomb blasts which have killed hundreds of Nigeria.

Though the Nigerian government, under the leadership of President Jonathan Goodluck, has pledged commitment to combat the attacks of the rebel group on innocent lives in the country, Boko Haram still remains impervious.

Reacting to the Nigerian situation on Tuesday, President John Dramani Mahama tasked the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to strategize and counter any terrorist attack on the country.

President Mahama, addressing the GAF at Burma Camp, he bemoaned the barbaric attacks of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups saying their activities are a threat to global peace.

But speaking on Peace FM‘s Flagship programme “Kokrokoo“, the Central Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwamena Duncan, slammed President Mahama, claiming he is only paying lip service to the Nigerian situation and further accused him of failing to use his position as ECOWAS Chairman to any particular use in the fight against terrorism in the sub-region.

According to him, President Mahama and President Jonathan Goodluck are “twin brothers”; hence their inability to curb the situation. To him, they have both proved to be incompetent leaders on the African continent.

To him, President Mahama has no business tasking the Ghana Army if he cannot curb terrorist attacks on the African front.

“President Mahama and Jonathan Goodluck are twin brothers. They remain incompetent. What is the business of asking the (Ghana) Army to keep an eye on Boko Haram? What prompted the President to ask the Army to do this? He has a better platform to indeed contribute to ensure that the activities of Boko Haram are completely curtailed,” he said.
