Sensational Ruth sets to release ‘Liquid Prayers’

She is simply a genius. Ruth Adjei has been described by music connoisseurs as one of Ghana’s finest acts yet to be celebrated.

After years of avoiding being in the limelight, Ruth has hearkened to the insistent calls from her numerous fans as she releases her maiden 10-track gospel album this weekend.

Professionally, Ruth Adjei has been doing music for about 15 years even though she has been singing since her infancy.

‘I get my inspiration from life experiences,’ Ruth Adjei told Myjoyonline.com in a chat.

Asked what she is bringing to the gospel music scene now that she has decided to come out of her closet, she replied: ‘Apart from the uniqueness of my lyrics, I have adopted a blend of both contemporary Western and local gospel music, making it easier for all to appreciate.’

Her album titled ‘Liquid Prayer’, produced by Sound Kitchen, would be launched on Saturday 23rd May at the Sunlodge Hotel adjacent Tesano Baptist at noon.

Some tracks on the album are already enjoying encouraging rotation on various radio stations across the country and myriad of thumps up on social media.

‘My fans should expect more inspirational songs coupled with the power to meet both their spiritual and physical needs,’ she promised.

Asked why she is now coming out as full time musician, Ruth said with an aura of determination: ‘I love music, it’s my passion and since it happens to be a very fast way of conveying information, I would want to use that to testify about the goodness of God and to let the people know that God is ever ready to accept whosoever that diligently seeks Him.’

She advised fellow musicians to know that everyone has a unique calling, serving in the same vineyard with the Most High God being ‘Great Gardner’, therefore there is the need for them to come together working very hard in their various areas of calling to win more souls for Christ Jesus.

‘Several years ago I realised I was gifted with a special ability to write songs uniquely and all who heard me sing those songs in church and at programs marvelled… They later sent messages, others called telling me how the lyrics in the songs have transformed their lives.

‘As those testimonies kept coming and coming I realised the need to get it well structured so as to increase its benefits to every part of the world. In conclusion I would say Ruth Music Ministry is being established to draw more souls into God’s Kingdom and to make people realise that, no matter who you are, God loves you.’

The launch will see exclusive performances from Nii Okai, Cindy Thompson, Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Pastor Isaiah, Naa Mercy, Akesse Brempong, Kobby Mantey and many more. Story by Ghana | Myjoyonline.com | Isaac Essel | [email protected]
