Miami almost there: LeBron James leads Miami Heat to 3-1 lead

LeBron James (32 points, 10 rebounds and five assists) led the two-time defending champions to their victory at the American Airlines Arena.

It gave the Heat a 3-1 Eastern Conference finals lead and sees them set to eliminate the Pacers from the play-offs for the third straight year.

The Pacers need two wins at their Bankers Life Fieldhouse home, including in game five on Wednesday, and one in Florida to advance.

Chris Bosh (25 points and six rebounds) also impressed for the Heat, while Dwyane Wade finished with 15 points.

Paul George (23 points, seven rebounds and three assists) top-scored for the Pacers, who also got 20 points from David West.

West finished with a double-double as he pulled down 12 rebounds.

George Hill (15 points) and Luis Scola (12) managed double figures in points for a Pacers side who trailed from the outset.

A 27-19 first quarter set up the Heat’s victory and they kept the visitors at bay throughout, leading by as many as 23 points in the fourth.
