Late turn out: Prince Boteng joins Black Stars in Holland


Black Stars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will have his first training session with the senior national team on Sunday evening.

The Schalke 04 midfielder joined his international team-mates in the early hours of Sunday after not making it in the first phase of preparations in Ghana. The German-born Ghanaian was excused by the technical team of the Black Stars as his missed out on the three-day training and practice match for the national team.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has now got 23 players out of his 26-man provisional squad to work with in preparations for the next friendly.

Adam Kwarasay who was excused to help his Norwegian club in their game on Saturday is yet to return from his trip.

Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien are the other absentees.
