MP In Violent Act …As She Slaps Party Organizer For Calling On Late PV’s Bereaved Family

New Patriotic party (NPP)’s Irene Naa Torshie Addo, on Tuesday, at her violent best, when she publicly assaulted her party’s Constituency Organizer.

Around midday, the Tema West MP turned a Guinness distribution point called K. Boapong, in Tema Community 5, into a boxing ring, where she slapped Hon. Arhin Young in a fit of tantrum that was totally unbecoming of a Member of Parliament.

The attack, which happened in the presence of NPP stalwart and former Mayor of Accra, Stanley Adjiri Blankson, is purported to have happened because Mr. Young had had the temerity to call at the Tema Community 2 residence of the late P.V. Obeng to mourn with his family.

Naa Torshie Addo, who is said not to have taken kindly to the news of the Tema West NPP Constituency Organizer’s visitation, confronted him at the Guinness distribution point, where she followed a tirade with the physical attack.

Eyewitnesses report that the MP boxed the Tema West Constituency Organizer’s ears several times, while all along, rhetorically asking him how he dared to visit the bereaved family, “of that NDC man.”

The news has since gone viral in Tema, with observers wondering how uncouth the MP could be.

However, The Enquirer has since been discovering that there may be more to Naa Torshie Addo’s thumping of her own party’s Constituency Organizer than his visitation to the house of the late P.V. Obeng.

Arhin Young’s current position as the NPP’s Constituency Organize for Tema West came to him after the controversial disqualification of his predecessor, one Kwesi Poku, in the party’s recent election of Constituency executives.

That disqualification of Kwesi Poku had been masterminded by Naa Torshie Addo who had used all her influence to remove the former Constituency Organizer because she felt he (Kwesi Poku) was too close to the NDC’s Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

Readers would recall that towards the end of last year, The Enquirer reported on how Naa Torshie Addo had placed a call to Nana Akufo-Addo, the party’s Presidential candidate for 2012, who was then in London, to make sure that he used all his influence to disqualify Kwesi Poku.

Unfortunately for Naa Torshie Addo, her hard work in the sabotage of Kwesi Poku did not bring her the needed peace of mind, because Arhin Young, whom she supported to become Constituency Organizer, has since proved not to be malleable to her plan to commandeer the party’s Parliamentary ticket for 2016.

Mr. Young is reportedly in bed with one Carlos Ahenkorah, who also has his eyes firmly on the NPP’s Parliamentary ticket for 2016.

From the revelations that bubbled to the surface from investigations, Naa Torshie Addo had long meditated on the coming of an opportunity to teach Arhin young a lesson for choosing to hobnob with her rival, rather than licking her boots.

It was not perfectly opportune, but useful, therefore, when Arhin Young visited the late P.V. Obeng’s bereaved family yesterday to show them solidarity in their grief.

Eyewitnesses at the scene of the slapping of Mr. Young report that Naa Torshie Addo was very confrontational with the victim from the beginning of the misunderstanding that ended in the assault.

After confrontation the young man over the visitation, she launched a tirade and took advantage of an ensuing quarrel to box the poor man’s ears.

It is not clear if Mr. Young has reported the assault and battery to the police yet.
