Bravo: Asamoah Gyan heaps praise on teammates

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has lauded his team mates for the seriousness they have attached to training as they prepare for the world cup in Brazil.

The team has been training at the Accra sports stadium since Monday and is expected to play a selected local Black Stars team on Friday in a farewell match before they leave for Holland.

Gyan believes: “It’s a bit difficult here because of the weather condition but as time goes on we will get used to it. “Unity is the key and I can see the young players are blending in very well.”

“I have played in every game of the season and I feel very fine and I believe all the other players feel the same too. ‘I am sure the experience we have as senior players will aid the younger ones at the tournament.”

AC Milan midfielder, Michael Essien, together with Kevin-Prince Boateng of Schalke 04, is expected to join the team in Europe ahead of the pre-tournament friendly with the Netherlands on May 31.
