DENCH in demand: Frimpong tagged a great bargain by agent

Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is weighing options of a move to the Italian Serie A, according to his agent Andrea Manfredonia.

The player who transferred from Arsenal to Barnsley in the January transfer window is without a club at the moment. Frimpong was released by Barnsley alongside other players as surplus requirements following the club’s relegation to the English League One.

Andre Manfredonia is however hopeful of landing a club for the former Wolverhampton Wonderers and Fulham player. He told Gianlucadimarzio of the 22-year-old:

‘For a 22-year-old boy he has plenty of experience. He’s a very interesting player who could come in handy for several of Italy’s bigger clubs.

‘It’s a great transfer market opportunity, because he is out of a contract and holds a British passport. We’re proposing him to teams across Europe, he is certainly a great bargain on the market.’

Frimpong who was called to represent the Black Stars in 2013 missed out on the provisional 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
