Perfect appointments: Mourinho jealous of Louis van Gaal

Jose Mourinho might still have a spot in his heart for the job Sir Alex Ferguson once had, manager of Manchester United.

The Portuguese who was reported to have cried after the Old Trafford club ignored him to chose former Everton coach David Moyes was the first to congratulate Louis van Gaal after the Netherlands boss landed the United job, claiming he was jealous of his club list.

Mourinho said he was ‘very happy for Van Gaal’ and that ‘he deserved’ it after the former Bayern Munich coach was revealed as Old Trafford boss on Monday.

Louis van Gaal said on Mourinho’s congratulations:

‘Mourinho congratulated me. He was the first one I texted and he was the first one to text me back. He said he was jealous of my list of clubs.

‘I didn’t call Manchester United, I didn’t call Bayern Munich, they’ve always called me. And I’m proud of that.’

Jose Mourinho who is now manager at London club Chelsea FC failed to produce the awesomeness he conjured during his first stint at the club for the 2013/2014 season, ending the season without a single silverware.
