13 players of the senior national team the Black Stars were on hand for the first day of training at the Accra Sports Stadium as the country’s World Cup programme got into full swing.
Fatau Dauda,Stephen Adams,Jerry Akamino,Rashid Sumaila,Mubarak Wakaso,Samuel Inkoom,Harrison Afful,David Accam,Abdul Majeed Warris,Afriyie Acquah,Rabiu Mohammed,Agyeman Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah were the players present.
They engaged in warm up excercises with coach Kwesi Appiah and his staff as well as passing and shooting drills.
There was an injury scare for star striker Majeed Warris after he limped off with a limp but he returned after receiving ice treatment.
Th team will continue training on Wednesday at the same venue with numbers to be augmented by the arrival of captain Asamoah Gyan,Sulley Muntari,Adam Kwarasey and the Ayew brothers.
