NBA Finals, Eastern Conference: Indiana stifles Miami

Reeling from the beginning of the playoffs, Indiana showed another face that night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. It is an Indianapolis franchise that put on its coat of the first phase of the regular season to receive the Miami Heat at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Teammates of Ian Mahinmi (0 pt, 1 rebound, 1 block in 9 minutes) will even count up to 19 point lead in the third quarter time (81-62). James and Chris Andersen (14 points off the bench), restored a semblance of life for Floridians by reducing the gap; 83-70 at the start of the last act. With a Chris Bosh conspicuously absent (9 points to 4/12 shooting), the Heat bow 107-96 and find themselves beaten for the first time in these playoffs.
