Bukom Banku fails weigh-in session ahead of bout [Video]

The much anticipated bout between Braimah Kamako a.k.a Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers took an interesting twist on Wednesday as Banku failed to meet the weight class for the cruiserweight bout.

Kamoko weighed eighteen pounds above the stipulated 200-pound limit for the bout while Powers weighed exactly 200 pounds.

However, the President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Peter Zweenes, said Banku would still be permitted to fight because of the non-title nature of the bout even though failure to meet the weight limit would attract a deduction from his fight purse.
