TWO of Ghana’s biggest music artistes at the moment, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, brought out their best game to Kumasi on Saturday, May 10, when they rocked the pre Adaekese Jam at Kumasi Jubilee Park.
Dubbed the “Switch Back Concert”, the show kicked off with a massive performance from Sarkodie, who performed over 30 songs and had the crowd singing throughout all the songs. Sarkodie also endorsed Tigo in his performance, saying Tigo has the fastest internet and enables him to download and upload pictures easily.
Then the hottest artist in Ghana now, Shatta Wale came on stage and he also moved the crowd with his first 2 songs. However, Shatta Wale had to end his performance after 2 sings due to the massive rains which had set in.
“This concert is our way of commending the people of Asanteman for their support to the brand over the years and to congratulate the Asantehene for his service to his people and to all Ghanaians since ascending to the throne,” a Tigo official said.
This concert was part of Tigo’s support towards the celebration of the Asantehene’s 15th anniversary. Tigo supported the Otumfuo’s Teacher’s Awards, sponsored the cleaning up of Asanteman on Saturday, 10th May morning and then climaxed it with the Switch Back Concert.
