‘Let’s address indiscipline among students’

The Headmaster of Adonten Senior High School at Aburi, Mr Stephen Aboagye, has called on teachers and the disciplinary committees of schools to work hard to address indiscipline among students.

Speaking at the ninth Speech and Prize-giving Day of the school, Mr Aboagye bemoaned the high rate of indiscipline in the school, stressing that the situation had become very challenging over the past years despite tireless efforts by the school’s administration to address the problem.

The ceremony was held to award hard-working students, teaching and non-teaching staff members.

  Challenges
Mr Aboagye said the school had challenges and mentioned that roads leading to the school were in a deplorable state, which made it hard for students and the entire school community to enjoy transport services.

He called for the construction of a headmaster’s bungalow on the school’s premises for effective supervision and appealed to the Methodist Church of Ghana to expedite action on the construction of the proposed boys’ dormitory to ease congestion among the students.

  Old students, SRC commended
Mr Aboagye commended the Old Students Association and the Students Representative Council (SRC) for their intention to construct  an assembly hall and a KVIP for the school.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for working hand in hand with the school to ensure its development.
