Police Warns Media And General Public Over Prez Mahama’s Kumasi Remarks

Investigations are underway to ascertain the authenticity of an alleged tape in which President Mahama is heard referring to the people of Kumasi as unappreciative, by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Government insists that the tape recording in which the president is heard making those remarks is doctored tape, edited by critics of his administration.

In a press statement signed by the Commissioner of the CID, ASP Joesph Darkwah, said “the CID has initiated investigation with the view of getting the authentic tape as well as the origin of the doctored one.”

In an interview with Peace FM, ASP Joesph Darkwah warned the media and general public to be circumspect in their reportage and comments.
