Olympique Marseille spend between €600,000 and €800,000 per year to protect their players against burglaries.
According to Europe 1 , OM have hired agents of a private security company that perform round surveillance around each player every half hour.
Over a year ago, four Marseille players – Lucho Gonzalez of Argentina, Ghanaians Jordan and Andre Ayew and Brazilian Vitorino Hilton – were victims of theft.
Just three months ago, striker Andre-Pierre Gignac had items including motor cycles, quads, cassis and buggies stolen from his home.
The private security company will help to protect the players and their assets.
