Ghanaian receives Forensic award


The President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG) and President of the West Africa Union of Tax Institutes, Mr Mike Kofi Afflu, has been honoured with a Fellowship Award by the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP) of the USA.

The award was given to him at the first IICFIP Global Forensic Conference that took place at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by Sosthens Bichanga, CEO & Founder of IICFIP. 

Mr Afflu, who is also the Managing Partner of Inter-Class Associates, an auditing/tax firm in Koforidua, is the first Ghanaian to be given a Fellowship Award by the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professional.

Mr Afflu was also recognised as the IICFIP Country Director for Ghana. Ghana was unanimously elected to host the next Global Conference slated for 2015. Certified Forensic Investigation Professional 

CFIP is the world’s leading accreditation in forensic investigation with representation in 36 countries all over the world.

Among the topics treated at the conference were fraud prevention and detection, cyber criminology and corruption, amongst others.
