Accra, May 6, GNA – Stanbic Bank Ghana has held its final draw for the Swipe to Brazil visa card promotion.
It aims at encouraging customers to swipe their cards in payment for goods and services at point of sales and in online transactions to qualify for a ticket to Brazil.
The promotion, which was launched on February 8, and ended on April 30, saw more than 2,000 customers using their cards actively in more than 11,000 transactions.
Mr Pedro Pinheiro won the final ticket to join Mr Steven Kwesi Anim the first winner for the trip to watch Ghanas World Cup game against Portugal in Brazil.
The two, who would travel with their partners on the trip, would get a package that include an international flight to Brazil and a domestic flight to match venue, a three- night stay at a four-star hotel, meet-and-greet service upon arrival at airport and two category 2 tickets to see the Fifa World Cup match, among other things.
Nana Dwemoh Benneh, Head of Personal and Business Banking at Stanbic, said 50 per cent of the 11,000 transactions were done in Ghana and the other half outside the country.
He said the behaviour change campaign was successful and the bank is looking forward to providing customers with innovation products in future.
Mr Ben Mensah, Head of Markets, said the introduction of Point of Sales (POS) devices would offer cutting edge banking to clients and convenience.
The devices will enable electronic card holders to make payments for goods and services in various shopping centres that the POS will be deployed.
