See Why NBA Star Gets A Standing Ovation When He Receives His MVP Award

Kevin Durant named Most Valuable Player of NBA made an emotional speech that is by far the best Mother’s Day present anyone could give.

Oklahoma City Thunder player, Kevin Durant, was just named MVP of NBA this Tuesday and he made an emotional 10 minute speech that has become viral pretty quickly.

He began by thanking the Oklahoma newspaper for calling him ‘Unreliable’ just a couple days ago after a game and apologizing in the next issue by naming the article ‘Kevin Up’.

He went on thanking his team members and could not hold back the tears, and revealed that his dream as a kid was to become a rec-league coach.

Durant went on and thanked his mother, Wanda Pratt, who raised him and his mother as a single parent. He called her ‘the real MVP’. The audience as well as Durant himself were all in tears after those emotional words and all guests stood up in ovation.

“You sacrificed for us. You’re the real MVP,” he said revealing the hard times they all had to go through when they were just ids.

“I’m just kind of emotional about this day because he just worked so hard,” Pratt told in her interview to Yahoo Sports.

It was an obvious and easy win for Durant as he got 119 out of 125 votes. His mother said that she was happy with the result, “but still I’m going to have to talk to the other six, though”.
