Modern Auto Services receives Tata delegation


A high-powered delegation from Tata Motors, India and South Africa has paid a working visit to Modern Auto Services Limited (MAS) at their head office on the Graphic Road, Accra.

The visit, according to the delegation, was to commend MAS for the  successful launch of its new partnership and also deliberate on ways to support MAS in its quest to promote the Tata brand in the country.

The delegation included Mr Tami Mbele, Managing Director of Tata Africa Holdings; Mr Johnny Oommen, Head of the Passenger Vehicle Unit, Tata Motors; Mr Xavier Gobille, Executive Director Auto and Allied Tata Africa Holdings; and Mr Brian Steenamp, Regional Head, sub-Saharan Africa.

They were met on arrival by top management members of MAS, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Nouhad Kalmoni, and the General Manager, Mr Amine Kabbara.

 Mr Nouhad Kalmoni paid tribute to Tata for believing in MAS, and assured them of a healthy partnership which would go a long way to promote the Tata brand in the country.

“Tata is a known brand and very reputable in after-sales services, considering its easy repair works and accessible spare parts, hence the association with such a brand, which is a step in a good direction.

According to Mr Kalmoni, MAS has invested heavily in human resource development and a state-of-the-art workshop which has the capacity to promote good after-sales services to safeguard the good name the Tata brand has among Ghanaians.

For his part, Mr Johnny Oommen, on behalf of the delegation, noted that Tata deemed it appropriate to be associated with MAS, considering the company’s success in Ghana’s automobile industry.

After touring the facilities of MAS, representatives of the two companies joined hands to present of keys to the first customers of the newly launched Tata Manza and Tata Aria vehicles.
