Abducted Schoolgirls: Patience Jonathan To Lead Protest To Chibok

The wife of Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience, has promised to stage a protest match to Chibok in Borno State, if the abducted schoolgirls are not released.

The first lady made this statement in Abuja on Friday after a meeting with governors’ and ministers’ wives, female senators, commissioners and more than 200 women from various groups at the State House in Abuja.‎

It was gathered that the aim of the meeting was to seek the actual where-about of the over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped weeks ago in a Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.

According to Mrs Jonathan, a committee will be inaugurated soon to include wives of all relevant stakeholders at a meeting scheduled for May 4.

She said that refusal of any of such relevant stakeholders to be contacted for the meeting would also lead to a mass protest.

The First Lady also stated that the first ladies of Cameroun, Chad, Niger and other countries had offered assistance on the abducted schoolgirls.
