I Have Ministers’ Support

KWAKU BOAHEN, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised to embark on a rigorous campaign to retain his seat.

He stated that he had the backing of several top ministers in government who were bent on seeing to it that he retained his position in the upcoming youth organizer contest of the party to be held in the region.

“I have powerful ministers, most of who are in the national capital of Accra, who are backing my campaign,” Boahen told Don Dada of Otec FM.

Apart from the ministers, he disclosed that virtually all the DCEs in the Ashanti Region were also in full support of his bid, stating that he would soon hit the streets to campaign seriously.

Boahen asserted that the powerful government officials who had registered their support for him would be carried along when his campaign got underway.

Mr. Kwaku Boahen said he was not leaving any stone unturned in his bid to retain his youth organizer’s seat, and reiterated that he would embark on an ostentatious campaign to beat his competitors.

According to him, the DCEs in the region were aware that his hard work and efforts contributed immensely to the NDC’s retention of political power in 2012 – which resulted in their (DCEs’) appointments.

He noted that the upcoming Ashanti Regional NDC polls would present the best opportunity for the DCEs in the area to display their love by supporting his campaign.

Kwaku Boahen is noted for his ‘big political talks.’ He was summoned to the Supreme Court during the 2012 presidential election petition where he was reprimanded for making a contemptuous statement against the Court.
