Judgement Debt Commission To Continue Public Sittings

The Commission of Inquiry established by President John Dramani Mahama to enquire into judgment debt payments and other related matters will continue its public sittings from Monday May 5, to Thursday May 8.

The public sittings is said to take place at its new location, the former offices of the Constitution Review Commission, Link Cantonments adjacent to the American Embassy Roundabout, Accra.

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday and copied to Ghana News Agency said the Attorney General, Solicitor General and Lands Commission would appear on Monday.

On Tuesday the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company, Gold Street Real Estate Consult and Lands Commission will also appear.

On Wednesday, Ghana Highway Authority, Ghana Revenue Authority, Lexcom Chambers and Messrs Hayibor, Djarbeng and Company will appear.

On Thursday Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and Ministry of Defence will also appear before the commission.

The statement advised members of the public who wish to testify or volunteer information to report at the Commission’s office to give their statements.

The Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence.

It said all those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but are unable to be present in person are requested to submit memoranda to the Commission.

It said all such memoranda will be treated as confidential.
