Local coaches need facilities and incentives to excel – Ex-Hearts coach Duncan

Ex- Hearts coach David Duncan has revealed that local coaches need facilities and incentives to excel.

Duncan, 50, believes the country does not need what he referred to as ”white coaches” but that the local coaches, if adequately resourced would prove their mettle at the top level.

He was reacting to Bayern Munich’s UEFA Champions League exit after Real Madrid pummeled the current holders 4-0 in the reverse fixture of Europe’s elite competition on Tuesday night.

“On the strength of Guardiola’s showing tonight or lack of it, I am convinced now than ever that the indigenous coach needs facilities and incentives and not what we usually refer to as a white coach”, he said.

David Duncan was relieved of his role as coach of struggling Hearts of Oak back in December last year.
