Kotoko struggling for survival, lack funds to camp players, Opoku Nti reveals


Kotoko chief Samuel Opoku Nti claims his outfit is financially-stricken and are struggling to even camp their players due to lack of funds.

The claims come on the back of recent sponsorship deal with betting firm Supabets as well their mouth-watering package with telecommunication giants MTN.

The Porcupine Warriors have struggled in the Ghanaian top-flight in recent matches where they have lost their last two games against Inter Allies and All Stars.

Kotoko acting General Manager Samuel Opoku says they are unable to camp their players due to their poor financial situation.

“I have to camp the boys due to recent defeats but the problem is money,” he said

“We are struggling with our finances but we shall continue to work hard.”

The record Ghanaian League title holders boasts of several corporate sponsors spearheaded by MTN, Everpure Mineral Water, Latex Foam, Interplast, Blue Jeans energy drink and Vit’s Noodles and lately Supabets.

Yet the side has continuously complained about lack of funds.
